SO cord is manufactured with EPDM rubber insulated inner conductors which are covered with a black chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) jacket rated at 90°C. CPE offers high resistance to oil, abrasion and impact. CPE also maintains flexibility to lower temperatures than rubber and offers better resistance to aging. SO is U.L. listed and CSA approved.
